Nikon D300 Digital SLR Camera is sporting a Nikon DX format 12.3 megapixel CMOS sensor that features advanced digital image processing system. It comes with EN-EL3e lithium-ion battery that enables the camera to shoot up to 6 frames per second. If used with MB-D10 battery pack, which is optional, it can shoot up to 8 frames per second. MB-D10 battery pack offers additional shutter release, vertical grip and autofocus buttons. You can also use this camera with eight AA batteries, EN-EL4 or EN-EL4a.

Featuring a 3-inch 920,000-dot or 307,200 pixels VGA LCD color monitor, this camera offers 170 degree wide angle viewing. It also comes with a tempered glass protection. For easy focus, use the button for zoom in/out.

With the Active D-lighting image enhancement, it can provide real time highlight and shadow correction. It can also produce broad tone reproduction. Active D-lighting can correct scenes in bad lighting conditions automatically. Also, it has 4 preset options including standard, neutral, vivid and monochrome.

Nikon D300 digital SLR camera features low-noise image files ranging from ISO 200 to 3200. It has expanded range of options that allows you to produce remarkable clean image files. The options are Lo-1 option, which is ISO 100 equivalent, or Hi-1, which is equivalent to ISO 6400.

Nikon D300 Digital SLR Camera features a Multi-CAM 3500DX autofocus module and 51 sensors in normal mode. It also allows 3D tracking and automatic focus point switching. This AF module uses color and light information to accurately track the subject.

Another added feature is the selectable 12-bit or 14-bit A/D conversion. This will allow you to choose whether to have smaller files at fast processing speed or larger files at slower operating speed. But whatever operating speed you choose, the image quality is still the same.

It also features Live View, which allows you to choose from the two shooting modes: the handheld or the tripod mode.
