If you want to become a photographer, then you first must choose the type of photography that best suits you. For example, if you enjoy going to weddings, then becoming a wedding photographer would be perfect.
It would allow you to visit many different types of weddings and take pictures of an event you love. As photographers, the individuals are in the driver’s seat when choosing what pictures they want to make a living taking.

Many people who are not in the photography profession believe that it is an unskilled craft that is not very high paying. This is not true for all, as many are paid very well. It all depends on the subject they choose, such as hobby photography or music photography, and their skill level.
If they are considered a freelance photographer, then it will depend on how many photographs they take and are able to sell to others. If they are working for a company, then of course it will depend on the rate of pay they are being offered for their photographic genius.
What type of photography a person does depends on how they choose to make their living and what type of pictures they want to take. If they have a love of sports and enjoy visiting sporting events, then sports photography should be a consideration.
Others might want to try nature photography, if they indeed love being in nature and taking pictures of animals, plants and nature scenes. There is also the type of photographer that works with digital art. In this profession they may work with a computer more than a camera.

Many people choose to make their living as photographers. There are many different professions that require the need of a photographer. There are also those who choose to become a photographer and have their own business. These individuals can hire themselves out to companies and individuals that have a need for photographs to be taken.
If they are working for themselves, they will be able to choose the type of projects that they do and then sell their services to those companies and people who wish to hire them.
