If you want to enhance, edit, or alter your images you can easily do this with Photoshop.
What are these amazing features of Adobe Photoshop?
The selection feature is the tool you will use most often. It is one of the most basic tools in the program but also one of the most powerful. With this tool, you can select the part of your image where you want the changes you wish to make to take effect. Any unselected areas are not affected. The options of the selection tool include the lasso, pen and marquee tool.
Another often used and powerful tool is the size tool. You are able to increase or reduce your image size using this tool. When you want to enlarge your image the size tool is the one for you.

If you wish to eliminate distractions you can use the clone tool to do this. If you want to get rid of distracting facial features such as acne or scars, even wrinkles or age spots, that are easily seen through close up shots the clone tool will easily accomplish this.
Another powerful feature of Photoshop is the use of layers. Using layers you can work on different parts of a photograph and lets you put them together for a dramatic finish.
These features are simply the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what Photoshop has to offer. If you are an amateur or professional photographer Photoshop has the tools to help you.
Nikon D90 Review
June 25, 2009
The Nikon D90 is one incredible camera. You will agree with me when I say it is the smartest DX format DSLR available today. Read the Nikon D90 review below.
This camera is loaded with features, inheriting some from the D80 and D300. I find the D80 and D300 excellent, but the D90 is even better.
What floored is that the D90 costs much less than the D300, D80, and D3. That is how it goes in the digital camera world: the new ones are almost always better than their ancestors, for much less cost.
If you are considering getting a D300, forget it and go for the D90 instead. I bought my Nikon D90 two months ago, and it has yet to disappoint me. And I believe it will not let me down.
The Nikon D90 has a better photo quality compared to the D300 and D80, with many cool features loaded in a compact and light plastic package. When we talk about ease of use and simplicity, the D90 will not let you down. It is so straightforward that it eliminates many difficulties in capturing the best shot.
It is not surprising why Nikon’s newest camera delivers and exceeds a lot of expectations. For one, the Nikon D90 is backed by over 60 years of constant innovation and development. As a result, it offers more clever features.
Some highlights: the world’s first ever HD movie mode, continuous shooting as fast as 4.5 fps, and 12.3 MP DX-format CMOS imaging sensor. The D90 also features a 3-inch super-density LCD monitor and low-noise ISO sensitivity.
In addition, the Nikon D90 features a built-in image sensor cleaning and 1-button Live View. The camera features durable and high-precision shutter, inclusive exposure control, and in-camera Image Editing.
Many will agree if I say that the Nikon D90 is one extraordinary DSLR. Ultimately, it is a first-rate DSLR that effortlessly earns many camera reviewers’ highly recommended rating.
Ways to Take a Better Picture
June 23, 2009
If you’re wasting time trying to figure out how some parts of your camera work, shuffling through ipod parts, film, tripods, or iphone screens, there are some simple ways to get your camera working. This article tells how to set up cameras.
Loading film is one of the most basic steps if you have a camera that requires film. First, the film has to fit your camera. What you want to do is adjust the shutter speed to the appropriate place on top of the camera, then pull the film out from the film canister a few inches. Then unlatch the release which will usually be on the right side of the back of the camera.
After you do that you’ll want to put the canister in with the flat side facing up, pulling the film to the right where you will put the film into the spool and wind it until the film is around the spoon. Then once you close the camera wind the film until the frame counter on the top reaches the number 1.
Choosing the right lens for the picture you want to take is an important part of the process. A telephoto lens will magnify the subject you’re taking a picture of. Another option is a wide angle lens will broaden the area you are taking a photo of. Normal lenses are best for most normal situations because their focal length of 40-55mm enables you to take picture under the most variety of circumstances. A zoom lens can accommodate many of these potential settings, allowing you to take a variety of type of shots without spending the money necessary in buying each lens individually.
Setting up a tripod can stabilize your shot. The first thing to do is spread the legs. Pull the legs out to raise the height. Tightening the clamps will secure it. Adjust the head to level the shot. This is a good idea if you are on uneven ground and the tripod legs don’t give you an even enough surface from which to take the photo.
Digital Cameras for the Cautious Consumer
June 23, 2009
So you want to introduce your kids to technology but don’t want them sorting through your iphone parts or macbook parts? If this is the case it might be a good idea to introduce them to basic digital photography. Or you want a camera that won’t instantly become obsolete. This article should help you decide which camera is right for you for the price you’re willing to pay.
For children, an inexpensive camera is best. For them, they camera will be a toy that may be easily damaged and expensive to repair. Luckily some companies have cheap and hardy cameras. Fisher Price has a model that is good for preschoolers and kids that are younger. It is big, bright, interesting and durable. It comes with a small review window, and can be connected to a computer with a USB wire. Another option is the Polaroid Pixie, which is similar, but sports a larger grip and boasts many games that are built into the camera itself. It too has an LCD review screen to help introduce kids to the idea of reviewing pictures on a digital camera. Vtech makes yet another option, the Kidzoom. This camera has a good grip to avoid being dropped, can be connected to either a computer or to a TV, and has a few games as well as many editing options to get your kids used to and interested in the way digital photographs can be edited on more advanced programs like photoshop.
If you’re a digital camera owner, you have probably had the experience of doing hours of research, talking to friends and experts, looking at reviews and prices, stats and figures. You intelligently decide on a good camera only to return to the store a few weeks later to find that the a better, faster model is available for less than your new, but now obsolete model. The best advice if this happens to you is to get the very best camera you can afford on your budget. Cameras are always going to improve. It is better to get what you can than wait forever. Things to consider are focal length, optical zoom, shutter speed, image enhancement via sensors, battery life, etc. One option is buying a high end professional grade camera and taking a long time to familiarize yourself with it. This is only worth it if you use everything. A camera isn’t everything in photography. Great pictures need more than a good camera.
which digital camera is best for me?
June 23, 2009
When thinking of purchasing a digital camera it is easy to become confused when faced with the myriad choices available on the market today. The best way to face this decision is to ask yourself what features or functions of the digital camera are important to you.
Knowing what your needs are and what types of photographs you wish to take will narrow your choices down considerable. When you begin your search for a digital camera you may be surprised at the variety of cameras, not to mention manufacturers, which are available on the market today.
Some of the cameras on the market today include the AF SLR Series, Digital Compacts, Film Compacts, Direct Vision, etc. Cameras include features such as built in camcorders as well as cameras inside phones. It is amazing what you can find on the market today when looking for a digital camera?
You can find a lot of help through various websites which offer reviews and ratings of those cameras that are available but you won?t find too many reviews out there on Direct Vision Cams or a few other models so I want to focus my attention on them. Direct Vision Cams, manufactured by Leica, are great cameras that will meet nearly everyone?s needs. These cameras offer high quality pictures with very little noise.
Looking at a few 35mm, which is commonly utilized by photographers in different models, we will consider the Range Finders. This model or its like has a variety of features including the viewfinder, battery compartment, self-timer, rangefinder, rewind crank, rewind button, lens, PC socket, film speed dial, and so on.
The rangefinder is works to restore viewfinders center images overlaying in the camera. Self-timers are obviously handy for instructing the camera at what time is proper to go off. Some only have a few seconds to time a picture.
Several direct vision cameras offer hot-shoes, shutter speed dial, wind-on levers, frame counters, and shutter release buttons. You will find some of these cameras offer more options than others which are designed more for professional photographers.
Other varieties of cameras include the Mega-Pixel Camcorders, Large Formatting Cams, Instant Cams, Imaging Phones, and Hasselblad XPans 2 and so on. Please recognize that cameras which come included with a mobile phone are not necessarily the best cameras for photography however in most cases you are able to transfer them to your computer. Camera phones are great when you are on the road taking photos and want to put them on your computer quickly. Bluetooth phones are one of the most popular phones on the market today.
Another option is mega-pixel phone camcorders which are great if you want to create web pages or home movies. Unfortunately these produce lower quality videos which takes them out of the running for creating high productions. It is still quite hand for making movies and playing them back. Most are the size of an Ipod which is incredible when you think of the built in features.
Professional photographers will not automatically head for the instant cameras. Many are familiar with the old Polaroid camera which was, at one time, one of the most popular cameras on the market. Polaroid had several models which were used by professional photographers as there was no photo developing costs. This was the primary reason I used the Polaroid. Today Fuji has an Instax camera which has taken the place of Polaroid.
We can?t forget about Hasselblad which has a 35mm camera that is incredibly popular with professional photographers. This camera easily switches between standard and panorama modes. Hasselblad is one of those cameras that defies history as it puts you in mind of old technology with a modern flair. Hopefully you should have an indication of which cameras are out there and which might meet your needs.
What will you use your camera for? What are your plans for the photos? Will you want larger or smaller prints? Is it your desire to become a professional photographer or will you be happy to stay in the amateur arena?

With today’s technology, even amateur photographers can take an ordinary photograph and make it look extraordinary. How is this possible? With the power of Adobe Photoshop anyone can turn an ordinary photo into a professional looking one. As a matter of fact, most professional photographers turn to Adobe Photoshop to air brush out so called imperfections in the pictures they took with their SLR camera.
Photoshop allows you to do many things including adding or removing items you’re your photos. If you want to add a sunny blue sky to a cloudy day it is possible with Adobe Photoshop. The imperfections we all have can be easily removed. Scars, wrinkles and even pimples can all be airbrushed away to make everyone look cover model perfect. Expensive cameras, while nice, are not even necessary in order to produce high quality photographs. Red eyes that completely ruin a great photo can also be edited. So, you don’t have to worry about red eyes on your subjects as Adobe Photoshop will be able to remove these things. Dark pictures can be enhanced with the lighting tool. All you need to do is adjust the brightness of the picture as well as the contrast and dark pictures will look like you took it in a perfect lighting environment. Back lighted pictures are no longer a problem with Adobe Photoshop.
One of the best things about this program is that it is relatively easy to use. Be warned that it may take some time to become familiar with the tools in Photoshop, but after you are comfortable with the program you will be able to edit pictures like a professional.
As you can imagine, you don’t need to a digital photo studio in order to make your dull pictures look a little bit better. With Adobe Photoshop, you can make the pictures you take look as if it was taken by a professional. Even with an ordinary digital camera, you can be sure that you will be able to take great pictures with the help of a photo editing software.
So, if you want your photos to look as if they were taken by a professional then Adobe Photoshop is the program for you. You can do all that I have mentioned plus more using Adobe Photoshop.
You can change the background of the picture or you can even replace someone’s body with another person’s body.

Selecting the Best Digital Camera Printer for Your Personal Projects
June 20, 2009
Digital camer printers are very popular in the United States as well as other parts of the world One of the great features of a digital camera printer is being able to print as needed right at home. There is a wide variety of digital camera printers on the market today. It’s always a good idea to understsand your needs and the types of projects you’ll want your printer to do. You’ll want to make sure you get the best type of digital camera printer for your projects.
Strategies on Selecting The Right Digital Camera Printer
1. Will your printer need to multitask? When it comes time for printing, will you need a printer for more than just printing images? Perhaps one that can also print documents etc..?
2. Is your main focus printing photographs? If so, there are a variety of digital camera printers that are totally geared toward these types of printing tasks. And only these types of tasks. Just remember, you will not be able to print out documents on these types of printers.
3. What is the quality that you are going to want in your prints? High quality prints require high quality paper as well as a printer that can print either amateur quality or professional quality prints.
When you are looking for your printer online, many times you can select to read other peoples personal reviews on the items. Be sure to look closely at “why” they did or did not like the printer. Sometimes a bad review is due to the person not really understanding the capability of the printer and whether that printer has the type of printing ability that their personal projects require.
When selecting the type of printer you will need, sometimes the Internet will not have all the answers to your personal needs. It is helpful to make a trip to your local BestBuy or other office supply store and speak to someone knowledgeable on digital camera printers.
Finally, it is good to ask the question, “Is the cost of the printing at home worth it?”? High quality prints will require high quality paper as well as a lot of ink. Printing out a few pictures now and then on your home printer is a great way to get the job done. However, it is actually cheaper to use a place like Costco to print out large quantities of photographs and images when you consider the cost of the paper and ink.

Interested in Buying a Coolpix P80 Camera?
June 20, 2009
Why do so many folks who are on the lookout for state-of-the-art performance digital cameras with masses of complicated features buy CoolPix P80 cameras? It’s because, despite its bitty size and affordable price tag, these cameras get the business done. The P80 model is part of the Nikon CoolPix Performance Series after all. And it decidedly performs, sometimes above and beyond what you might assume. There was a day when, in order to get a camera with the features you needed to produce near professional quality pictures, you had to sacrifice something, namely compact size. But the P80 has a lot of function packed into a small, streamlined package.
One of the considerable reasons size. But the P80 digital cameras is the telephoto lens. Before the P80 came along, cameras this little just didn’t have telephoto lenses. In order to appreciate the benefits of that feature, you had to accept that you would be heftying around a camera that was a little bulkier and more cumbersome than you liked. Then along came the P80, which Nikon called “The World’s Most Compact Super-telephoto Camera.” And it wasn’t false advertising. In fact, the P80 is equipped with an 18x Optical Wide-Angle Zoom NIKKOR Lens. Pretty arresting considering the camera’s size. With this lens, you can capture everything from the sweeping grandeur of the Grand Canyon, to a bee setting reality, the petal of a flower.
Another of this camera’s considerable features is Optical Vibration Reduction Image Stabilization. Which means the camera compensates for shaky or unstable conditions. More than one great canvas has been ruined because the photography was jostled by something. Maybe they were in a limousine driving over shoddy roads, or on a dinghy sailing on choppy waters. Whatever the cause, the shakiness can result in blurry, unfocussed visuals. But thanks to Nikon’s VR system, the pictures you take on your next boat trip will be crisp, ruined as the waters are a little choppy.
The P80 has many advantages over customary cameras. And one of them is that it can do more than take great pictures. It can also mark home movies. Imagine it. You are at your annual family picnic, taking pictures of the festivities when, suddenly, the children at the picnic start to dance. It’s a moment you just be crisp, clear And while taking some pictures would be a great way to do that, you can do even better. So you aim your camera and press record. And, just like that, you aren’t just taking snapshots, you are filming a home movie, complete with sound. Later, all you have to do is connect your camera to your television set, and you can relive that moment as many times as you want.
And those are just a few of the great features those who buy CoolPix P80 cameras can enjoy. In fact, photography buffs will find that discovering each new feature, and learning to use it to its fullest, is part of the joy of owning this exceptional camera.
