Info On The Canon Digital Powershot Series
January 29, 2010
The Canon Digital Powershot is a pocket sized digital camera that is capable of taking high quality photographs. There are quite a few different cameras in the Powershot line, with pixellage ranging anywhere from 4 to twelve mega pixels.
One example is the digital Elph, which takes colorful images and has a ten megapixel setting. The camera also has a 3x optical zoom for close ups, yet is still a budget valued middle of the line camera. The Powershot SX20 can shoot HD films and has high optical zoom settings and 12 mega pixels.
Digitals that are pocket sized are versatile and can be carried anywhere, in a pocket, or tucked into a bag. There is not any heavy gear to lug around like professional cameras but it still takes stunning and colourful photographs. The Powershots also feature image stabilization, which gives an advantage in low light. The HD videos have sound and diverse shooting modes.
The Canons have 2.5 in. LCD screens and a DIGIC 4 processor, which uses a face detected technology to track moving faces and keep them in focus till the cameraman is ready to shoot the picture.
The Canons also feature something by the name of clever contrast correction. This adjusts the contrast on the footage for a more balanced color. Red eye reduction may be employed in camera so there’s no real need to use any image enhancing software after.
The zooms in the camera are pretty dynamic but they do get coarse-grained and unfocused at really high zoom settings. And the canon digital Powershot usually averages at about a hundred bucks in price, so those on a low budget can also enjoy the ability to take professional level images.
The Canon digital Powershot also has ISO and contrast settings so that the user can edit these inside camera. This makes it way easier to use the image for direct printing purposes.
